Photography Terms & Conditions
1. Booking & Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings.
Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit is received.
Dates are allocated on a first come, first served basis and may be released without notice if no deposit is paid.
The remaining balance is due after the client receives watermarked sample images and selects their images for final editing.
Accepted payment methods: Cash, EFT, and cash send.
2. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Clients may reschedule once, provided at least 24 hours’ notice is given.
Additional reschedules will incur a R100 rescheduling fee.
In the event of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable.
If the photographer cancels, a full refund will be issued.
3. Late Arrivals & No-Shows
A 15-minute grace period is allowed.
Late arrival beyond 15 minutes will result in reduced shooting time.
Sessions will end at the originally scheduled time unless overtime is agreed upon.
If a client is more than 20 minutes late without notice, the session may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.
No-shows result in loss of deposit. Rescheduling after a no-show requires a R100 fee.
4. Overtime
Overtime is charged at R200 per 15 minutes.
Overtime must be approved during the session.
If not approved, the session will end at the scheduled time.
5. Image Delivery & Turnaround Times
-Standard (10 images): ±4 days after final selection and payment
-Gold (20 images): ±7 days after final selection and payment
-Diamond (30 images): ±8–14 days after final selection and payment
Clients will receive watermarked preview images to select their final images.
Final images are delivered after selection and full payment.
6. Editing & Style
The photographer maintains full creative control over editing style.
One sample edited image may be provided for approval before final edits.
Clients may request minor adjustments (e.g. brightness, skin tone, basic retouching).
Extensive or repeated re-edits may be declined or charged additionally.
RAW/unedited images will not be provided under any circumstances.
7. Additional Images & Services
Extra images: R40 per image
Discount: Every 10 images selected = 1 free image
Rush editing (24-hour delivery): R400
Same-day editing is not offered
Travel costs may apply depending on location
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
-Arriving on time
-Providing outfits
Securing location permissions and covering any entry fees
The photographer is not responsible for missed shots due to client lateness or lack of preparation.
9. Weather Policy
Severe weather may result in a reschedule at the photographer’s discretion
10. Usage Rights
The photographer retains the right to use images for:
-Portfolio
-Social media
-Marketing and advertising
Clients may request privacy, and images will not be shared publicly upon request
Clients may use images for personal or business use
11. Image Protection
Images may not be altered, edited, or filtered by the client
Images may not be claimed as the client’s own work
12. Refunds & Liability
Refunds are only issued under the following conditions:
-Failure to deliver agreed number of images
-Loss or corruption of files
-Technical failure resulting in unusable images
-Cancellation by the photographer
No refunds will be issued for:
-Personal dissatisfaction with editing style
-Minor imperfections within professional standards
-Client-related issues (lateness, non-cooperation, etc.)
In cases of dissatisfaction, the photographer may:
-Offer reasonable re-edits
-Offer a reshoot (subject to availability)
Refunds will not be issued if a reasonable solution has been offered.
13. Equipment Failure / Data Loss
In the unlikely event of equipment failure or data loss, a full refund will be issued
14. Conduct & Right to Refuse Service
The photographer reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if a client behaves in a:
-Disrespectful
-Aggressive
-Abusive
-Threatening manner
In such cases, the session may be cancelled without refund.
